3 AIADMK Men Sentenced to Death in Dharmapuri Case

In a sensational verdict, a Salem court sentenced 3 AIADMK men to death in the Dharmapuri bus burning case. It can be recalled that three girl students were charred to death while 18 others were injured in Dharmapuri when the AIADMK workers burnt the bus without any warning. The court held 25 others guilty of rioting and wrongful confinement. The quantum of the sentence would be pronounced on February 17.

The deceased girl students belonged to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. The incident occured when the AIADMK workers were protesting against Jayalalitha's conviction in the Kodaikanal Pleasant Stay Hotel case. The verdict was hailed as a victory for justice.
