India Launched PSLV-C7 and PSLV-C8 Successfully

On 22 April, 2007, India launched the PSLV-C7 that carried four satellites. It was launched succesfully from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. It was a perfect launch and all the parameters worked perfectly. The PSLV-C7 is carried the 680 kg Indian remote sensing satellite CARTOSAT-2, the 550 kg Space Capsule Recovery Equipment (SRE-1), Indonesia's LAPAN-TUBSAT and Argentina's six kg nanosatellite and PEHUENSAT-1.

On April 23, 2007, India achieved another milestone in space science when ISRO's PSLV-C8 successfully launched the 352 kg Italian astronomical satellite, AGILE, into a 550 km circular orbit, inclined at an angle of 2.5 deg to the equator. PSLV-C8 was the first major commercial launch contract which was won against stiff international competition.
