Invincible Australia reaches the Final

Can anyone stop Australia? For the time being, it looks impossible. Kangaroos imposed their authority yet again by crushing South Africa by 7 wickets in the semi-final to reach their fourth successive World Cup final.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. However, Australia dominated the proteas from the very first ball. The entire South African side was bowled out for 149 in 43.5 overs. Justin Kemp was the top scorer with 49 not out. McGrath destroyed the South African batting line up by taking three crucial wickets. Tait bagged four wickets.

In reply, Australia lost Gilchrist cheaply. But Hayden (41) and Clarke (60*) guided them to a 7 wicket victory with more than 18 overs to spare. Australia will not meet Sri Lanka in the final. Although Sri Lanka is expected to give a tough competition to the Kangaroos, they are on the way to win their hattrick world cup title.
