High alert has been declared in entire Uttar Pradesh after explosives were seized from the Faizabad railway station early Wednesday following the Tuesday's serial blasts. 10 kg of explosives and 20 kg of ammonium nitrate was recovered while searches after the blasts, as per PP Sharma, DIG (Faizabad). Following this, security has been tightened throughout the UP.

U.P. Chief Minister Mayawati called this a “conspiracy” on the part of BJP and Samajwadi party. “We see a major conspiracy behind the blasts and our government is conducting a thorough probe into it. Ever since our party has formed the government in UP, the Samajwadi Party and the BJP are using unfair means to win back their lost mandate. My government will not allow these parties to succeed in their mission,” said Mayawati.
She also made it clear that these incidents are not going to detriment her in any way and she will take strict action against these anti-social activities.
