2) Sania at Wimbledon: Sania Mirza cruised into the second round of Wimbledon Open by beating Russian Yaroslava Shvedova in straight sets.

3) Champions Challenge Hockey: India beat Belgium 4-1 in the Champions Challenge hockey tournament in Boom (Belgium). It was India's second victory from 3 matches.

4) Pratibha talks to Spirit: UPA-Left President nominee, Pratibha Patil found herself in another controversy when claimed to have spoken to the spirit of Baba Lekhraj from whom she got a "divine premonition" of greater responsibility coming her way.
