Sahib Singh Verma died in a Road Accident

Former Delhi Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sahib Singh Verma died in a road accident near Shajapur in Rajasthan. The incident occurred on the NH-8 when his car collided with a cargo truck. The body was trapped inside the car and he died on the spot. His driver and the gunner also died on the spot. Another person was rushed to hospital, but he also succumbed to injuries. Sahib Singh's Tata Safari was damaged beyond imagination.

The cargo truck was cut into two pieces. However, its driver survived with injuries, who was later arrested by the police. The accident occurred when the truck driver took a wrong turn in order to save a cyclist. The cyclist is badly injured and is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Sahib Singh Verma was the Vice-President of BJP, and did a lot to revive BJP in Delhi and neighboring states. He served as the Labor Minister in the NDA government.

Sahib Singh's death came as a big loss for BJP, which is fighting for its survival. The party suffered heavily in Maharashtra after Pramod Mahajan's death. Now it plunged into severe crisis in Delhi. Former CM Madan Lal Khurana has already been expelled from the Party. Sahib's death will put the party in trouble just ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.
