Carnival of Sports #11

Greetings! Welcome to the 11th edition of the Carnival of Sports. We have selected 7 posts for this edition. I hope our readers will enjoy reading these. Here are the posts in the order they were received.

Balaspa presents So, Why are Minor League Games Better than Major League Games? posted at Chicago Minor League Review. An article in this new online blog/magazine focusing on minor league sports teams in the Chicago area. Special attention is paid to the baseball teams, which are numerous.

Conan Stevens presents 7 Foot Muscleman Photos July 2007 posted at Tall Bodybuilding Actors Site. Conan says, "Anyone who tells you that tall guys can't deadlift, squat or build international standard physiques needs a whack in the head and then send them to my website...."

Dan presents Catch and Release posted at fishingtreats.com. Catch and release is a very important technique in fishing, this post tells you how to do it.

Kilroy_60 presents Disgust and Loathing in the City of Brotherly Love posted at Fear And Loathing - The Gonzo Papers. Money, people will tell you, has ruined sports. At best, sports has been damaged. It is not money in itself that has been the culprit. It is those self centered, spoiled athletes for whom money and personal fame are the motivators that dictate their thoughts and actions.

Ted Reimers presents Texas A&M 12th Man Tradition posted at CampusGrotto. An in depth look at one of the greatest College Football Traditions of All-Time.

The Monk presents The Yankees disaster of 2007 posted at The Key Monk. The Yankees enter the All-Star break at 42-43 and 8.5 out in the Wild Card race (seven in the loss column), the first time they've been sub-.500 at the break since 1995.

Bryan W. Alaspa presents How-To Keep up with your Favorite Minor League Team posted at Chicago Minor League Review. So, now you’re hooked on minor league sports. You have gone to the game, following the various tips Bryan gave you in the "How-To Attend a Minor League Baseball Game" article, and enjoyed yourself.

That concludes the 11th edition of the Carnival of Sports. Next edition of this carnival will be hosted here on 01 August 2007. You can submit your posts here.

This carnival, I think, is well done. My compliments.

Pulling a bit of text from the commentary, on my post, was an excellent touch. Thank you.

I think you attracted a good mix of posts. If you have an opportunity to visit The Gonzo Papers I'm interested in when the next carnival will be.

You'll find a post listing the carnival I'm currently posting in; I like to do the entries in batches. Maybe you will join me for some of them. 8-)

I also liked the email you sent about the carnival being posted. This is the sort of proactive approach we use with the Gonzo Blog Carnival Series.

Do you ever host any carnivals other than your own? I think it could be a good match.

If you have interest in attracting more traffic to the site I believe I can help you with a referral or three.

Cheers!
