Dadua Dacoit’s Terror Ends

UP STF at last succeeded in their efforts of trapping the dreaded dacoit of UP, Dadua, better known as Veerappan of North India. He was killed with his 9 companions in Chitrakoot district, UP. Both UP and MP Police Force had planned various operations to get hold of him, but all in vain because of his strong political ties and a very vast network of informers who informed him of each and every step of the police.

Dadua’s original name was Shiv Kumar Patel and till date he has 200 criminal charges against him. He also carried a reward of 5 lakhs on his head by the UP Police.

This time Police Force’s informer told them about his whereabouts and they immediately made plans to capture him. He was killed in an encounter with the STF personnel in the hilly area of Jhalmal Aehala hamlet in Chitrakoot. “A superior information gathering system and informer network helped in preparing comprehensive strategy,” said DGP Vikram Singh.

Various automatic weapons and large quantity of ammunition, phone chargers, and batteries were recovered from the site.
