India wins the ODI Series against South Africa

The jinx is finally over. For the first time, India registered a series win against South African outside the home soil. In the third one-dayer in Belfast, India beat South Africa by 6 wickets to win the Future Cup series 2-1. South Africa won the first match, but India bounced back to win two back-to-back matches and the series. This is also India's first series win on a foreign soil after 7 years.

The match began much later due to rain and wet outfield. It was a 31 over-a-side match. Put into bat, South Africa recovered well from the early loss of wickets to score 148/7 in 31 overs. Justin Kemp and Harshelle Gibbs scored half centuries. In reply, India suffered early blows. However, Dravid (36) and Yuvraj (61* )played good innings to see India through. India reached the target with 4 balls to spare.
