Kumble's maiden ton puts India in Command

Anil Kumble is in news again, but not for his bowling performance. In the third test match against England at Oval, he scored his maiden test century and remained unbeaten at 110. His century helped India pile a mammoth total of 664 in the first innings. For India, Karthik scored 91, Laxman got 52, Sachin 82 and Dhoni scored a blasting 92. At stumps, England were 24/1. With this spectacular performance, Kumble almost sealed a series victory for India against England.
