Nokia to replace 46 Million Mobile Phone Batteries made by Matsushita
Nokia has decided to replace 46 million mobile phone batteries made by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. There have been reports that many of these batteries overheat and burst like bombs. Nokia is currently the world's biggest mobile-phone maker. The recent incidents may hurt Nokia's sales prospects.There have been about 100 such instances of overheating, however, no reports of serious injury or damage to propery. The affected Nokia-branded BL-5C batteries were made by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. from December 2005 to November 2006. Nokia has issued an statement to all its users urging them not to be panic and assuring all possible help to resolve the issue ASAP.
