Pak SC allows Sharif to return Home

--By BNO Correspondent

In a major setback to the beleaguered Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, the Supreme Court of Pakistan ruled that exiled PM Nawaz Sharif can return home. Sharif has been in exile since 1999. Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry ruled that Sharif is free to live his own country and contest the poll if he wants. Nawaz Sharif's brother Shahbaz Sharif was also allowed to return to the country.

The Court also directed the Pakistan Government not to obstruct the Sharif brothers' return to the country. They are currently based in London. According to PML sources, Nawaz Sharif would meet party colleagues in London before taking a final decision on his return to Pakistan.
