The party today appointed Rahul Gandhi as the General Secretary of the Congress Party, paving the way for him to become the next Prime Minister of India, if Congress comes to power again. Rahul Gandhi is currently the Member of Parliament from Amethi. As the General Secretary of the Party, he has been given the charge of the Youth Congress and NSUI.
