Anne Enright wins the Man Booker Prize

Anne Enright from Ireland won the Man Booker Prize for her novel "The Gathering". There were top contenders like Indra Sinha and Mohsin Hamid. However, Enright left them way behind in the final run up to the Booker Prize. She received a prize money of £50,000 (70,000 euro) at a ceremony held in London's Guildhall.
