Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh will go to Polls in December

The election date has been announced for Gujarat. According to the Election Commission, Gujarat will go to polls in December. The voting in Gujarat's 182-seat assembly will be held in two phases in December to prevent any religious violence.

According to CEC Gopalaswamy, polling will be held in 87 constituencies on December 11. The remaining 95 seats will go to the polls on December 16. The counting of votes in Gujarat will be held on December 23.

Himachal Pradesh will also face two-phased polls on November 14 and December 19. The counting of votes will be taken up on December 28. Three constituencies will go to polls in the first phase and 65 in the second.

While the BJP is at the helms of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh is governed by the Congress Party. If we believe the surveys and predictions, BJP is all set to win majority in both states.
