Suicide Attack on CRPF Camp in Srinagar

After a brief lull, militants on Thursday carried out a suicide attack on the CRPF battalion headquarters in a hotel near the Dal Lake. The suicide bomber was killed on the spot. The incident occurred at 6.30 PM. According to sources, firing is still on and the security personnel are trying to flush out all militants.

The whole area was immediately cordoned off and efforts are on to neutralise the militants. The exact number of the militants involved in the incident are not immediately known. Reinforcements have been rushed to the area.
