Breaking News: Sharif lands in Lahore

Breaking News! Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif landed in Lahore amid tight security arrangements. Sharif reached Pakistan in a special aircraft from Dubai. Sharif's return became possible after a deal reached between President Pervez Musharraf and Saudi authorities. Nawaz earlier returned to Pakistan on September 10. However, he was immediately deported from the Airport to Dubai.

Nawaz was accompanied by his wife Kulsoom and brother Shahbaz. Thousands of people gathered at the Airport and on the streets to greet Nawaz Sharif who returned to the country after 7 years of self-exile. His return to Pakistan is seen as a huge development in Pakistan politics. According to reports, both Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif would file their nomination papers in Monday.
