Taslima shifted to Delhi

Controversial Bangaldeshi writer Taslima Nasreen, who is on run after violent protesters set Kolkata on fire on the issue of her Visa extension, has been shifted to Delhi from Rajasthan. The new development came amid threats from a Muslim organization, 'The All India Milli Council' in Jaipur. Taslima reached Delhi a few minutes back and was accompanied by a person called Faisal and some Rajasthan police personnel.

Taslima stayed at the Shikha hotel in Jaipur last night with 30 police personnel guarding her. Rajasthan government has provided her with 'Y' Grade security cover. Meanwhile, the Cabinet Commuitte held a security meeting on Taslima Nasreen. The meeting was chaired by External Affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee. The committee expressed concern over the writer's safety.
