Many more names crop up for 'Bharat Ratna' award

After the names of A B Vajpayee, Jyoti Basu, Kanshi Ram, Ch. Charan Singh and Biju Patnaik were proposed for Bharat Ratna award by their own party leaders, the RJD decided to join the que and demanded the highest civilian award for former Bihar CM Karpuri Thakur.

Similarly Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP has demanded the award for Jyotibha Phule, Jagjivan Ram and singer Mohammed Rafi. It is interesting to note that there are many takers for one award and suddenly it has become a bone of contention for political parties.
