Media attacked in Burrabazar, Kolkata

In a unprecedented development, a large number of locals in Burrabazar area damaged the Media vans and vehicles belonging to TV channels, smashed more than dozens of TV cameras and roughed up media professionals.

At least 6 TV reporters and cameramen were injured in the incident. More than 7 media vans have been completely damaged. The injured journalists have been rushed to the hospital. The incident occurred in the presence of police and army.
