Narendra Modi takes centerstage at BJP National Council

Gujarat CM Narendra Modi took center stage at the BJP National Council at New Delhi. He lodged a scathing attck on the UPA government over "communal budget" and "national security". A 4000-strong delegated attended the meet. It could be remembered that on the opening day of the BJP National Council, party president Rajnath Singh showered praise on Modi and described him as a role model

Modi not only praised BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani, but also paid respect to former A B Vajpayee. While attacking the Congress, Modi expressed concern that Centre's plans like raising priority lending to 15% to minorities may lead to large-scale conversion among the dalits and STs. He also flayed the Manmohan Singh for taking a soft stand on issues related to terrorism.
