Budget Impact: Maruti, Hyundai slash Car Prices

Finance Minister P Chidambaram's 'dream budget' had good impact on the Car Manufacturers, as Maruti and Hyundai have decided to slash the prices of some cars with effect from Thursday. The prices of Maruti 800 Diesel model have been slashed by Rs. 18,430. Other Maruti models will witness a cut in the range of Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 16,000.

Ford India has reduced prices of its mid-size car 'Ikon' by Rs. 29,000 to Rs. 40,000. Hyundai Motor Company said it prices of its premium small car 'Santro' and the mid-size car 'Accent' will be cut by Rs 18,000 and Rs 34,000 respectively.
