For a Change: Darul Uloom, Deoband declares war on Terror

In a significant development, the main Islamic organization of Muslim Clerics, Darul Uloom in Deoband, has declared an open war against terror. Top Muslim groups that attended the Anti-terrorism Conference organized by Darul Uloom, adopted a declaration calling terrorism as "un-Islamic" and terming it against the Islamic principle of peace.

They also criticized attempts to malign Muslims and Madrassas. The conference was attended by scholars and religious leaders from several sects and groups across the country. Over 10,000 people attended the conference.
