India test-fires Undersea Ballistic Missile
India joined the select band of five countries, when it test-fired its first-ever undersea nuclear capable ballistic missile off the eastern coast. The missile was test-fired from Vishakahpatnam. The missile known as K-15, has a range of 700 kms. It was fired from a pontoon immersed in the sea. The missile rose from the waters and blasted into the sky.
