Musharraf pardons Indian Prisoner Kashmir Singh

In a welcome step towards the improvement of relations between India and Pakistan, Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf granted amnesty to Indian prisoner Kashmir Singh, who is currently lodged in a Rawalpindi jail.

Kashmir Singh was arrested in 1973. He was charged of espionage and was facing death sentence. He will be repatriated to India soon. His family members have expressed huge relief over his possible relief. People from different quarters, have welcomed Musharraf's noble gesture.
