Taare Zameen Par sweeps the 53rd Filmfare Awards

Aamir Khan's movie "Taare Zameen Par" swept the 53rd Filmfare Awards held in Mumbai. The film won as many as 5 awards including the "Best Director", "Best Film" and "Best Story". Aamir Khan won the "Best Director" award, although he did not appear to receive the award. Child actor Darsheel Safary won the "Best Actor (Critics')" award for "Taare Zameen Par".

As expected, Shahrukh Khan won the "Best Actor" award for the film "Chak De" and Kareena Kapoor won the "Best Actress" award for "Jab We Met". Interestingly, Kareena's new found love Saif Ali Khan presented the award to her. "Chak De" won the "Best Film" award. Here's the list of award winners:
