Train Mishap in Surat, 16 crushed to Death

In a tragic incident, at least 16 people were run over by a speeding train in Udhna town of Gujarat's Surat district. The incident occurred in the wee hours of Thursday. Two women and two children were among the dead. All bodies have been severely dismembered. Those dead were reportedly labourers and their family members.

Senior officials have immediately rushed to the spot. Investigation is going on to ascertain the circumstances that led to such a ghastly tragedy.
