BJP MLA in Gujarat arrested for Firing in Public, released on Bail

Breaking News! Madhu Srivastava, BJP MLA from Baghodia, Gujarat, has been arrested under the Arms Act, after he was caught in camera while firing gunshots in air during the Holi celebrations yesterday.

The matter was taken up by a private Hindi news channel, News24 on Sunday. The channel kept airing the news throughout the day, which forced the Gujarat police to take immediate action. However, later he was released on bail.

Madhu Srivastava is considered a powerful politician in Gujarat. He was in the news during trial of the Gujarat riots. Initially, he refuted the claim that he fired in the air, but later admitted doing this. He was arrested from Vadodara, and later released on bail. It would be interesting to see BJP and Narendra Modi's reaction on this issue.
