Dalai Lama Speaks out, lashes out at China
Under fire from Tibetan youth for being so "soft" on China's atrocities in Tibet, spiritual leader Dalai Lama lashed out at the Chinese government and accused it of inciting violence in Tibet under the guise of Monks. While he expressed his readiness to talk to China to resolve the issue, he also voiced frustration at lack of response from China. In an unprecedented development, Dalai Lama accused Chinese soldiers of indulging in violence in Tibet, wearing monks' dress."They (soldiers) dressed like monks. So, for a lay person, they will look like monks. But the swords they had, were not Tibetan, they were Chinese swords," Dalai Lama said. He called for a "middle-path" approach to resolve the Tibet issue.
