Fire destroys 500 huts in Tiljala, Kolkata

A major fire gutted at least 500 huts in Panchannagram slums in Tiljala, Kolkata. No casualties have been reported so far. The fire has been attributed to a LPG cylinder blast. Thousands of people were rendered homeless and they lost their houses and belongings. At least 30 fire brigades were brought in to douse the fire.
