Gillani sworn-in as Prime Minister of Pakistan

PPP leader Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani was finally sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan. He was administered the oath of office by President Pervez Musharraf. PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, his son Bilawal and PML (N) Chief Nawaz Sharif boycotted the swearing-in ceremony, as it was officiated by President Musharraf. Gillani was the unanimous choice of all coalition partners including PPP and PML (N).

Meanwhile, the sacked Supreme Court judges in Pakistan, have been released and in probability, they will be reinstated soon. Also, there is a strong possibility of an impeachment motion against President Musharraf sooner or later. His days are definitely numbered.
