Heavy Fog leads to worst-ever car tragedy in Dubai

At least 3 people were killed and 277 injured, in a series of collision involving 200 cars on the Abu Dhabi highway in Dubai. The collision was a result of heavy fog, and turned out to be the biggest ever car tragedy in the country. According to latest reports, at least 31 Indians were injured in the accident.

The accident took place at Ghantoot on the border between Abu Dhabi and Dubai because of poor visibility. The impact of the collision was so high that about 25 cars caught fire. The injured were admitted to various hospitals in Dubai. According to police sources, 12 buses carrying some 300 workers in total were also involved in the crash.
