Meet Leslie Tripathi - 'The Beauty with a Brain'

The beauty queen has the charm and charisma to sweep people off their feet. She speaks Oriya with British accent, but they are loud and clear.
Leslie belongs to an Oriya Brahmin family. She spent some time in London during her academic studies. The 22-year old Leslie Tripathi was a English topper from BJB College, Bhubaneswar, which is the most prestigious college in the state. Later, she did her post-graduation from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
The vivacious actress shot to fame for the first time when she participated in the Inter College Fashion Show organised by Xavier Institute of Management in 2000. After that there was no looking back. She won the "Fresh face under 18" award at Vizag in 2003.
Leslie's beauty, talent, communication skills and most importantly, the beautiful eyes brought her to fashion and modelling. She acted in various Oriya albums. Today's she is the best sought-after model and actress in the state. Leslie is the brand ambassador for Reliance India Mobile, Orissa. She had also appeared in various commercial ads including Sleepwell, Vishal Garments, Satyam Shivam Sundaram and Lalchand Jewellry.
Leslie's biggest moment came when she was felicitated as the "Youth Icon" in 2006. She also received the "Best Newcomer" award in Oriya Film awards in the same year. She has impressed everyone with her acting skills in "’Mana Kichi Bujhena" and "Love Story". Leslie made Orissa proud by acting in a Hollywood venture, "A Woman from Georgia". She won several other awards including the Asha Memorial Trust Award and the Mahtab Award.The talent of Leslie Tripathi was noticed ever since she was a kid and today she has emerged as a supermodel and talented actress. At the age of 22, Leslie has miles to go, but she has proved that she has the right talent and confidence to make it to the top. Her 'beauty with a brain' distinguishes her from others. When the latest controversy erupted over Leslie, the entire population of Orissa stood by her. This is what Leslie expected from her fans and she got it.

mr. sagar you are not aware of the facts, she was infact born in brahmapur, a lot false things had been claimed by her.
Her father is an English Professor S.N.Tripathi who spent a lot of time at Berhampur. Youngest of four children she is out and out oriya. Don't go by her English accent. Its her double faced father's doing. He was known in Berhampur as English Baya or English Madman. He would even talk to the pan shop fellow in english. He named all his childern in english sounding names. Leslie as at least three siblings, mostly girls. She has gone on her mother who was a beauty in her days. A lot of fraud rumour has been created to give her an out of world aura. She is daughter of Sailendra Narayan Tripathi an orissa government lecturer. Today when he spoke to the news channel on TV he was recognised. No foreign connections anywhere. Dont believe a thing.

I have to wonder if Leslie Tripathy replaces those great political leaders who died in battle fighting for the right to freedom. It is however now, the wealthy and the famous who, if live by the sword will die by the sword. If you are a woman, your chances of being killed by pop culture's pimped out celebrity are great if you also love the media and its attention. Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana, Anna Nicole Smith; Leslie Tripathy surely must be next on the list. Honestly, it is all such a waste of time. There is no serious debate, no dialogue, and it is decadent on a grand scale. Oddly enough, I don't know too many young men wish they were George Bush. Its a known fact that Leslie was going around with many men, mostly bureaucrats, industrialists and businessmen. Her expensive tastes led her to Raja Acharya and she had no choice to offer herself to him...he got her laptop,put her up in nice hotels and apartments, got her jewellery, and had also placed an order for toyota SUV for her. Then Biranchi entered the picture because she got tired of raja and wanted Biranchi to use his boys to keep Raja away from her. Midway, Priyabrata Patnaik, the maverick bureaucrat with a colorful history himself, entered the frame. She would visit him at bhubaneswar club very often. So, all in all, its a nice plot really. Her life has literally become a movie.
I'm deeply upset to see the way victims are being victimised in India especially Orissa.

I really can't help but admire Leslie Love Tripathy. The 18-year-old superstar from Britain-India-Orissa has done nothing significant, memorable or even shocking since she's been in the limelight, but somehow she's managed to manipulate her 15 minutes of fame into an epic drama.
it pains me to se world's most beautiful angel Leslie Tripathy fighting against a psychopath murderer-stalker obsessed to the level of stalking this Loveliest creature in Odisha and crusading for justice all alone God give her strength to emerge victorious.

I hve been following lesliey's case since day 1 coz its sensational , she was my junior in B.J.B college , I know her from close proximity , we have lost touch in all these years , Iam sure & I believe she is being framed as I knew her to be a simple & a naive girl who had artistic qualities.
