Severe Power Crisis in Delhi, Noida, as Northern Grid Collapses

Breaking News! Life in Delhi and NCR has come to a complete halt, as severe power crisis hit the region after 50 supply lines of the Northern Grid, which supplies power to Delhi, tripped due to fog. Most parts of Central, East and South Delhi have been badly affected. Situation is worse in Noida, as it receives the largest chunk of its power from Northern Grid.

Train services have been disrupted since early morning due to the power crisis. More than 50 rail lines are affected and the worst struck sections are Ferozabad-Dadri and Tughlakabad-Palwal lines.

Some of the major trains that are stranded on the way are Purushottam Express, Bihar Sampark Kranti Express, Shrama Shakti Express, Janasadharan Express, Dadar Expres and Lichchavi Express. The Railways is taking emergency measure to combat the situation and is dispatching diesel engines to resume the services.
