Sonia cashes on UPA Government's Loan Waiver
While son Rahul Gandhi is busy in wooing Orissa's tribal and youth, mother Sonia Gandhi held an impressive 'Kissan Rally' or 'Dhanyavad Rally' at Ramlila Maidan, Delhi to show 'gratitude' to the farmers of the country. After announcing an unprecedented Rs. 60,000 crore loan waiver for the 4 crore farmers in the country, the UPA government looks in a poll mode. It was visible in Sonia's speeches when she launched a scathing attack on previous NDA government and termed it 'anti-farmer. She criticized the BJP for its failure to do anything for the farmers and even used the proverb, "Ulta Chor Kotwal Ko Daante (pot calling the kettle black)".
Sonia also assailed the MNS and Shiv Sena in Maharashrtra for their latest tirade against the North Indians. A large number of farmers from UP, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Punjab attended the rally.
