Who thinks Corruption is the price we pay for Democracy?

I don't agree with the view that we are paying a price to get the taste of democracy. Today, India takes pride in its democratic values and many countries in the world look at us to get advice and suggestion on how to uphold the democratic values. Yes, corruption is major concern for us, as we rank very low in the world, when it comes to checking that evil in our society. Yet, it will be unfair to blame democracy for that.

Democracy is like a vitamin pill for the common people in every country. Look at Pakistan where people are shedding their blood to restore democracy in the country. If we look at the global scenario, there are only two substitutes to democracy - 'anarchy' and 'communism'. And, neither one will serve our purpose. We can live with corruption, but we can't afford to lose our fundamental rights and basic values in an undemocratic country.

i also agree to this fact that democracy is the most precious thing that india is having with it .that is why other countries like america are looking at every aspect to make their constitution good but at the same time.....corruption is ruining indias value n standard in this global world......it depends on each n every individual how they use their democratic power..........whether they misuse it with corruption or something else...yes it is true that if people of india try together to remove this dirty corruption from our country then no one can stop us from becoming the no.1 in this world because we truly deserve it.
