Biranchi Das cremated, Police still Clueless about his Killers

Biranchi Das, the mentor of child prodigy and marathon kid, Buddhia Singh, was cremated at the 'Swarga Dwar' in Puri today. Thousands of people attended his funeral. People were seen crying bitterly while biding the last farewell to Biranchi. Biranchi was shot dead outside Orissa Association Judo Hall yesterday by some unidentified assailants who fled after firing bullets at him. Biranchi was immediately taken to hospital, where he was declared dead.

The police is still clueless about Biranchi's killers. While several theories surrounding Biranchi's murder are doing round in the capital, the police have reported zeroed in the love triangle involving Biranchi Das, gangster Raja Acharya and model Leslie Tripathi. Biranchi's brother and some other people claimed that Raja himself fired at Biranchi. However, the police have neither accepted nor rejected the theory. The investigation is still going on.

According to media reports, Biranchi was killed by Raja, as he came in between him and Leslie. Raja was recently arrested, after Leslie lodged a complaint against him. Leslie alleged that Raja was forcing her to marry him, while Raja said he had love affairs with Leslie and had spent a lot of money on her. However, police dismissed Raja's allegations saying it was a one-sided love affair.

People say that Biranchi had developed close relations with Leslie lately, had even provided protection to her. He reportedly hired Leslie to act in his upcoming video album. When Raja asked Biranchi to act as an mediator between him and Leslie, he reportedly refused to do so. That could be the reason behind Biranchi's killing. These reports are unconfirmed and are based on speculations.

After Biranchi's sensational murder, the media and public focus has been shifted to Leslie Tripathi. She had a busy day today talking to national and regional TV channels and print media reporters. She tried her best to convince all that she never sought Biranchi's help and she had no relations with him. However, nobody is willing to believe her. Truth is expected to come out soon, as the police are leaving no stone unturned to resolve the murder mystery and reach out the real culprits.
