India beat Japan to reach Davis Cup World Playoff

Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi recreated their magic, as India beat Japan 3-0 in the Asia Oceania Qualifying group. India reached the Davis Cup World Playoff to be held later this year.

Paes and Bhupathi combined together to beat the Japanese pair of Iwabuchy and Suzuki in the doubles match 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. India has taken an unbeaten 3-0 lead, thus making Sunday's reverse singles inconsequential.
