1) Baichung Bhutia says NO to Olympic Torch Relay: In a clear move to snub China and show solidarity with the Tibetans, India's football captain Baichung Bhutia refused to take part in the Olympic Torch relay to be held in New Delhi on April 17. He informed his decision to Indian Olympic Association.

2) Sachin out, Kaif in for Second Test: Ahead of the crucial test match against South Africa in Ahmedabad, India suffered a blow, as master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was ruled of the second test match because of injury. Mohammad Kaif replaced Sachin in the team. However, it is most likely that Yuvraj will be included in the final playing XI.

3) Karunanidhi takes on Karnataka over Water: The Hogenakkal Integrated Drinking Water Project created further rift between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, while it united all parties in Tamil Nadu under one umbrella. Amid reports of attacks on cinemas screening Tamil movies in Bangalore, Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi lashed out at Karanataka and vowed to fight for the cause of Tamil people.

While Tamil Nadu supports the project, Karnakata has come out in open against the project, even though there was no government in the state at this moment. The CM sought PM's immediate intervention to sort out the issue.
