Pilots' Association demands apology from Kerala MP

The The Indian Commercial Pilots' Association (ICPA) has demanded an apology from Kerala MP PV Abdul Wahab over his alleged misconduct aboard the flight. Wahab was forced off a Dubai-bound Indian flight, after he arrived late and allegedly started abusing the staff. Wahab later threatened to file a privilege motion against the pilot Rajat Rana, which sparked off a controversy. The Air India has already ordered a probe into the incident.

The Pilot's Association has threatened to protest if any action is taken against the pilot. The Association is expected to address a press meet on this matter on Thursday. According to Kapil Raina, ICPA President, the MP has violated the Indian Aircraft rules of 1973 by delaying the Flight. In addition, he called the Pilot "a glorified driver" and even stormed into Pilot's cabin, which was a Level 4 offence.

PV Abdul Wahab, a Rajya Sabha MP, belongs to IUML. He claimed that he had arrived at the Airport on time, but intervened in an argument between the Pilot and Airport Manager. While the Pilot's Association is behind the Pilot, it would be interesting to see how the Parliament reacts to the latest controversy.

This issue becoming serious. As I don't know the exact facts, I cannot say who is right and who is wrong. But I have following general commnet on this issue.
1. Mr.P.V.Abdul Wahab-M.P was not in an official trip. He is in a personal trip to Dubai for his business purpose. He is same as other passengers and he should have to consider their right in keeping the time. (If he delayed. Majority of the politician's are same on this issue).

As Mr.Wahab Said, if there was a quarrel with Duty Manager and the pilot, what is his authority to interefere on that matter. So he was misusing his power as an MP. Mr.Wahab has to remember onething. As he was thinking, Previlege will not applicable in this case, he Saying about previlege only because of his ignorance on this matter. Anyway this is the curse of Keralite to see this kind of vulgarance from the non-heritaged rich politicians.

I am with the Pilots association.
They are right to demand apology and blacklisting of Wahab the Rajyasabha MP. IUML MPs are known for such extraconstitutional abhorrent behaviour.
His comment about Pilots being just glorified pilots was cheap and unbecoming of a peoples representative. I am ashamed and disgusted at such behaviour from our MPs irrespective of which party they belong to. Respecting such Nominated MPS be they ministers former primeministers or chief ministers is shaming ourselves and demeaning ourselves to their level.

Dear all,

Mr. Abdul Wahab, apart from his MP position, he is a man of helping needy from all walks of life with the huge sum he earned from his hard work in gulf, and not like a typical politician or bureaucrats in the subcontinent notorious for robbing govt. treasury. He is one of the many personalities struggling to liberalize profitable Kozhikode sector from the monopoly of Maharaja and Maharani, positive signs of which have already been started. As a result, India’s one of the prestigious private airline company ‘Jet Airways’ started their operation from Kozhikode Airport and many more within the country and from abroad are standing in the queue for their operation from this most lucrative sector. Moreover, he was the head of MEDAC, which paved the formation of Kozhikode Airport in north Kerala, until then gulf bound passengers from the area flocked to Mumbai. All these are well enough to make the indiscipline pilot of nation’s carrier furious. Otherwise, not with the specialty of the straight spine the so-called Pilot has. Readers misunderstood the issue are kindly invited to study the nature of this sector and the persecution committed towards the gulf bound passengers by both Maharaja and Maharani. Even yesterday in Jeddah Airport, unpleasant happening took place in the flight belongs to our country, and the passenger reacted was threatened by the crew that he will be put in jail if makes noise inside the flight. This kind of incident is routine and is a talk of the town with thamasa always.

The entire world knew how these airline companies treated the people in the above lucrative sector. How the crew behaved with the passengers in the area concerned so far. Once other private Indian airline companies and foreign companies started to serve this sector in full swing, people sucked blood, and sweat of poor Keralites working in gulf countries might have face a tough competition, and no doubt, in which they will be a complete failure. Therefore, combination of anger and phobia is natural from the culprits and guilty thereby they believe monopoly can be maintained intact further.

The drama staged in the aircraft few days back in Kozhikode was because of this reason. Arguing with Airport Manager crooked pilot know very well that MP would interfere. It is not only Wahab but also anyone in his position would interfere on such occasion. Moreover, MP was not late to reach the airport and the aircraft was not landed when he arrived in the airport as well. For the delay happened to the flight is not the fault of MP or Airport Manager. Late arrival of flights belongs to both airline companies are usual and none can rectify them from this practice because it is known as Maharaja and Maharani.

Therefore, behind this drama not only this pilot but also many more masterminds can be seen if scrutinized. It should be noted that MP did not use words ‘glorified driver’ until the said pilot abuse him in his argument with the Airport Manager. Pilot also should know Airport Manger is also a staff in high rank.

Both carriers, particularly Maharani is suffering losses from all the sectors except Kerala sector, especially Kozhikode. To compensate this, without improving its services, huge sum is charged from passengers traveling from Malabar area.

Those who commented negatively about Wahab is due to their ignorance only. Try to open eyes before open mouth and do not support people having hidden agenda.

With best regards, and wish you all the best incluing those who commented negatively about the MP.

The whole airline industry knows Rajat Rana's real story, people know the facts and they surely prove either Rana to be a complete idiot or a very shrewd mind.

The reason for Rana's irritation was his desire to land in Delhi before midnight so that he could meet his mistress for her birthday.

Unqualified to be a Commander just because his father could pull the right strings he got this job with Indian Airlines.

And look what this ungrateful infidel does, picks up a quarrel with the duty manager and the MP who is a very well mannered gentleman.

Pity the media and the people could not find and report the truth. The Pilot's Guild spokesperson will not know where to hide his face when the story comes out in public

The above two comments makes me 'LMAO" !!!! Looks like the MP’s henchmen have been working overtime J

Decent people go for their flights on time, take their seat and look forward to a safe and pleasant flight. Nice people keep their smile up for the staff and fellow passengers. Horrible trouble mongers like our MP Wahab, go late for a flight, and then pick up a fight with the Pilot and call him a ’Glorified Driver’.

It is unfortunate that in our country our great politicians think they can do anything and get away with it. We the people are to blame for letting them assume this arrogant position because we don’t protest at such obnoxious behaviors. Mr. Whab had no business to interfere in a discussion between two staff of an Airline he must have been arrested for entering the cockpit and picking up a quarrel. If our Muslim League MP’s have their way, they will bring terrorists into the cockpit and make another 911 here.

99.9 % of our Politicians brake rules, they are corrupt and make huge amounts of money and are proud of it. Id say Shame on you Mr. Wahab, please behave like a dignified MP and apologize.
