Biranchi's killer Raja Acharya declared 'Absconder'

A local court in Bhubaneswar, has declared gangster Raja Acharya, the killer of former Judo coach Biranchi Das, as an absconder or offender. A non-bailable warrant has been issued against him. The notice was sent to his BJB Nagar residence in the city. The police will paste notices in public places, proclaiming Raja Acharya as an absconder. If Raja fails to surrender within 15 days, his property will be attached as per the rule CRPC-82.

Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar police led by new DCP Himanshu Lal, conducted raids in several places of the state, but failed to locate the gangster. Even a special police team from Orissa visited Mumbai and Dehradun to nab Raja Acharya, but in vain. It is believed that Raja Acharya is hiding outside Orissa to escape from police.
