BJP gets majority in Karnataka with the support of 3 Independents

Breaking News! The BJP, which required 113 MLAs to prove majority in the Karnataka Assembly, has just received the support of 3 independent MLAs. With this, the party's tally went up to 113 in the 224-member assembly. The independents, who have decided to extend the support to the BJP, are Shivraj, GD Shekhar and Narendra Swami.

While Shivraj is a BJP rebel, Shekhar and Narendra are Congress rebels. BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate BS Yediyurappa is expected to stake his claim to form the government later today.
