Breaking News! Powerful Earthquake hits China, Thousands dead

A powerful earthquake, measured 7.8 on the Richter scale, hit South-west China. The quake centred 57-miles north-west of Sichuan's provincial capital of Chengdu. The affected area comes under Sichuan province of south-west China. According to reports, tremors felt as far as in Beijing, Shanghai, Hanoi (Vietnam) and Bangkok (Thailand).

According to state-run Xinhua news agency, at least 7,651 people are confirmed dead and tens of thousands are still feared trapped inside the debris. Over 900 kids are trapped inside a building in Sichuan province. The death toll is expected to rise further over the next few hours.
