Breaking News! Serial Blasts in Jaipur, 50 killed, 150 injured

Breaking News! Seven serial bomb blasts within a span of 15 minutes, shocked the tourism city Jaipur (Rajasthan). At least 50 people have been killed so far and around 150 people are reportedly injured. Injured have been rushed to the Sawai Mansingh hospital. The blasts took place at Tripolia Bazaar, outside Hawa Mahal in Manak Chowk, outside the Hanuman Temple at Johri Bazaar, Sangneria Gate and Badi Choppad.

According to preliminary reports, high power explosive materials have been used in the blast. Cycles and cars were used to plant the explosives. Two live bombs were recovered from Chandpol. There was no damage to the Hawa Mahal or the Hanuman Temple in Johari Bazaar.

After the serial blasts in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Mumbai and Delhi have been put on high alert. Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil has cancelled his Meghalaya visit. A high level meeting of the Union Cabinet is expected to take stock of the situation. The Rajasthan government has rushed its officials to the blast sites. Unconfirmed sources put the death toll at 70. The Centre is sending NSG team to Jaipur. The PM has condemned the attack and appealed for peace and calm.
