China Earthquake death toll climbs to 12,000

The devastating earthquake in China's Sichuan province, killed at least 12,000 people and rendered millions homeless. Thousands of people are still missing, raising fear that death toll may increase further. Around 80% of homes in Sichuan have been completely destroyed. The earthquake that hit yesterday, was measured 7.8 on the Richter scale. Rescue and relief operation was hampered due to heavy landslide and road blockade.
