Cyclone Nargis kills 4,000 in Myanmar

A devastating cyclone killed nearly 4,000 people and left thousands homeless in Myanmar. Over 2,500 people are still missing. The death toll is likely to move up within the next 24 hours. According to the UN officials, hundreds of thousands of people are still without food and shelter.

The Cyclone, known as Nargis, hit Myanmar with a wind speed of 190 kph. The main destruction zone was Irrawaddy delta in Myanmar. The Military Junta of Myanmar has not appealed for International help yet.
