Gujjar Agitation: Rajasthan DGP removed
--By our Jaipur Correspondent
Unable to control the Gujjar agitation that already claimed more than 40 lives, the Rajasthan government passed the blame to the police department, by removing the Director General of Police, A S Gill. Mr. Gill has been asked to go on a long leave. KS Bains, who was in charged of Intelligence, has been appointed as the new DGP.
Meanwhile, the state government has acceded the demands made by Gujjars that postmortem on the victims killed in police firing should be done by a team of doctors from the AIIMS. The Gujjars have not cremated 8 dead bodies yet and continue their sit-in protest with those dead.
