Life in Delhi and NCR come to halt, as Gujjars go on rampage

The Gujjar community has brought the life in Delhi and NCR to a complete standstill. They have launched their "NCR Roko" agitation in the morning today. Violent incidents have been reported from Mayur Vihar, Loni, Badarpur and many other areas. Security has been tightened across Delhi, Haryana and UP. Over 10,000 policemen are guarding the capital.

Normal traffic has been disrupted on the busy Gurgaon-Mehrauli road, Badarpur and Sarai Kale Khan areas. Traffic jam was reported from Delhi-Faridabad road too. The Gujjars have blocked the Delhi-Noida road, DND Flyover, Delhi-Jaipur road, Delhi-Alwar road, Agra-Mathura road, BRT Corridor and the Express Highway in Greater Noida.

Some Gujjars pelted stones at the police in Ayanagar, Delhi. The Gujjars also blocked the Delhi-Aligarh railway line. All trains have been cancelled in the NCR.
