Myanmar Cyclone death toll 35,000, 28,000 still missing
The Military Junta of Myanmar confirmed that around 35,000 people have been killed so far in the devastating cyclone Nargis that hit the country last week. Over 28,000 people are still missing. The unofficial sources put the death toll at 100,000.The relief operation in Myanmar is going on a tardy pace, due to the high-handedness of the Junta, which earlier showed reluctance to allow foreign Aid workers in the country. The US and UN agencies have already begun the relief work in Myanmar.
