UPA completes 4 Years, Manmohan leads from the front

Even as he was dubbed as the rubber stamp prime minister by his critics, Dr. Manmohan Singh proved that he is the Prime Minister on his own merit, not a mascot any more. The decisions taken at the highest level, reflect Manmohan's intelligence and brinkmanship. Sonia Gandhi may call the shots in the party, but when it comes to diplomatic and economic decisions, only Manmohan and his aides understand those better.

Despite the intra-party conflicts, pressure from alliance partners and opposition from a hostile Left front on several key issues, the UPA government led by Dr. Manmohan Singh survived and did a fair job in the last 4 years. It is certain that it would complete its full term without any further obstacles. Even the opposition leader LK Advani has acknowledged this.

When it comes to the governance by Manmohan Singh, there is no place for any sycophancy. He hardly bother what others say. He possesses a cool and calm personality and character, which help me to overcome the challenges. Although he bowed to pressure from his partymen and high command on many occasion, as a whole, Manmohan Singh has impressed to a considerable extent. Remember, he is not a seasoned politician. He never won any election. But he has proved his mettle as the Prime Minister of this great nation. No doubt about this.
